ufunda is committed to protecting your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). This notice summarises how we comply and what your rights are. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Responsible party
ufunda is the responsible party for the personal information you provide. Questions and requests can be directed to our Information Officer at support@ufunda.co.za.
Why we process your information
We process your information for one purpose: to prepare, submit and track bursary applications on your behalf, and to communicate with you about them. We only collect what is necessary for that purpose.
Your consent
When you register you give informed consent for us to process your information and submit it to the relevant funding bodies. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
Your rights as a data subject
You have the right to be notified that we are collecting your information, to access it, to request correction or deletion, to object to processing, and to complain. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za) if you believe your rights have been infringed.
